Clean&Clear Morning Energy Face Wash

Posted by FeistyCat at 03:42 0 comments

Hey girls. Remember I had promised earlier that I would do a “Recommendations on a face wash”; I am gonna keep my promise.

Today I’m going to tell you about the new “Clean&Clear Morning Energy Face wash” (launched in India now). They launched three variants- Energizing Lemon, Brightening Berry and Purifying Apple.
I saw the commercial and I wanted them because they looked super cute. Clean& Clear products are a teen’s best friend. They are actually super good for oily/combination skin.

Till date I tried ‘Energizing Lemon’ and ‘Brightening Berry’ I bought the small bottle because they cost only INR50 and they last long.

Pros:
  • Affordable
  • Neat packing
  • Adorable Fragrance
  • Long Lasting
  • Effective
  • Those bursting beads are really awesome

Cons:
  • The fragrance might not be adorable to all.
  • It actually did make my skin feel dry but later on it became normal.

P.S: The fragrance of ‘Energizing Lemon’ is much better than the ‘Brightening Berry’.
It is recommended for girls with oily-combination skin.

Try it out and tell me how it is by commenting below but remember,

The Bronzed Look

Bronzers are meant to give you a back-from-the beach, sun-kissed glow without the harmful effect of sun tanning. Unlike a tanning lotion, a bronzer does not leave a permanent residue on your face and also comes off easily. It comes in powder, liquid, stick and bead form. Renowned make-up artist Vidya Tikari shares the secret behind getting the bronzed look right.

Try out these different types and choose one that will suit your skin as well as the season. It is very important to pick a bronzer that is right for your skin tone. Since bronzers come with a shine, you need to pick deeper tones-anything lighter will make your face look more shiny and therefore rounder. Go for one that is a shade or two darker than your natural skin tone; this will give you a lovely tan.
Remember, bronzers generally have a strong brown undertone, so don't pick one that is too dark or you may end up looking a bit shabby. Before applying a bronzer, you will also need to contour your face with dark pressed powder in shades two to three times darker than your skin tone. Apply it under your cheekbones to bring about a sculpted look. Now apply the bronzer in a semi-circular arc from the eyebrow to the upper cheek.
Remember to darken your brows a bit with a brown-based mascara. Just a hint of bronzer is usually enough. Too much can make you look like a baked bun rather than a bronzed beauty. Use a wide, fluffy brush for even distribution and blend well. Begin with a light application and apply more only if required.

Peplum Trend

Posted by FeistyCat at 03:01 0 comments

After Hollywood, peplum trend has become popular in our very own Bollywood.

From Katrina to Bipasha to Deepika and so on. On the first look, this trend might look like a severe and intimidating trend but if you work it out well you can rock it.  A well peplum flatters on curvaceous women (remember Kim Kardashian and Beyonce).

Some do’s and don’ts of the trend:
  1. Women who are proud of their narrow waist but are conscious of their lower stomach bulge can seek peplum since it covers those flaws. On the other hand, it accentuates the curves on a straight figure.
  2. The waist ruffle creates proportion in the body. When styled with a slim-fit shirt or even a simple cami, it can make you stand out in crowd. There a peplum skirts that are suited to different body types. Just remember, dress according to your shape.
  3. Short peplum dresses give an appearance of long legs. Peplum pencil skirts that reach the knee or the narrow part of your leg can be worn by tall or average height women. For footwear, please opt for fun pumps or peep toes and avoid boots.
  4. If you think peplum might look awkward on you, you can start wearing a peplum jacket or a top. If peplum dresses are over your budget, you can team them up with a peplum top and a pencil skirt.
  5. To be on the safe side, use solid colors.
  6. It should not be worn with loose, flowing maxi skirts or a pair of baggy jeans!

Celeb look:  Deepika Padukone looks stunning in this peplum dress. I love the lace detailing and her red pout. It adds to all the charm of this look.

Inspired by Katrina Kaif

Today I went to the mall. I saw 5-6 girls wearing outfits inspired by Katrina Kaif in “Ek Tha Tiger” and boy they looked mess.
But leave ‘em, even I loved Katrina Kaif in “Ek Tha Tiger”.

In the movie her style is glam and also feminine, she has gone for

  1. SEPERATES. Denims with quirky tees make up her style. Be it a stylish white blouse with ruffle detailing or a fitted tee with funky quotes- I loved it.
  2. SKATER DRESS. Remember that red skater dress with a sweetheart neckline and a chic back cut. Color block, lace and chiffon are the picks with just a thin belt making a difference.
  3. LAYERS. She wears tights and Converse shoes while layering her long tees with floral print scarves, checkered shirts and summer jackets.
  4. LBD. Remember the LBD she wears right before the interval. I loved the sexy sheer full sleeves.
  5. COLORED DENIMS. Denims in colors such as mint green, icy blue, hot pink paired with a neutral top. So glaaaaaaaaaam!
